To begin with the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 has been run under various names since 1997. The actual distance of the race is 501 miles with 334 laps. Most important of all is the tremendous showing of Kyle Busch. Indeed, Rowdy nation has been in the running every week. And at Texas Kyle shows strong with three wins, 12 top fives, and 13 top tens in 26 starts with an average finish of 11.8. Rowdy has emerged as the most dominant and dangerous driver in the current era. More emphatically he is a legitimate threat to win any race, even when NASCAR sends him to the back of the pack.
Matchup to Watch
