Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr have taken control of the race towards NASCAR’s playoffs. In fact, the so called “Big Three” have emerged as the dominant NASCAR betting choices. Consider the fact that one of the Big Three has won 12 of the last 14 races. Moreover, Busch and Harvick had a finish for the ages last week at New Hampshire. To illustrate Harvick nudged Busch out of the way late for the win. Meanwhile Truex Jr was in the hunt to the end and finished fourth. Once again the Big Three is favored Sunday.

Tricky Triangle
Next comes the famed “Tricky Triangle” of Pocono Raceway. In turn it is one of the most unique tracks in NASCAR betting. Consistent with recent results, Truex Jr won there on June 3. While the Big Three is top chalk bargain hunters may consider some other potentially better values. Further adding to the mystique of the Big Three is that Kyle Busch won this event last year.
Past and Present
The Gander Outdoors 400 has been run under various names since 1974. Now this year it will be run in three stages. The first two stages are 50 laps. After that the final stage will be 60 laps for a total of 160 around the 2.5-mile track. In sum the race will total 400 miles. Correspondingly the asphalt surface is in a triangular configuration. Turn banks are 14 degrees in turn one, eight degrees in turn two and six degrees in turn three. More emphatically such characteristics illustrate Pocono’s moniker of “The Tricky Triangle.”
Names to Watch out For
Last Sunday Harvick was the sports betting winner for the sixth time this season. By contrast Truex Jr was the winner two weeks ago. Likewise, Kyle Busch was the winner four races ago at Chicago. At the same time the Big Three compile wins other big names have been quiet. In particular seven-time champion Jimmie Johnson is winless this year. Encompassing his frustration is his 12th place standing.
Jimmie Johnson
Concurrently Johnson’s woes are in line with Chevrolet. For example, the Bow Tie Boys have posted just one win in 20 races this year. Alternatively, Toyota has ten wins with nine by Toyota. Specifically, the Camaro is a new Chevy entry. Second the Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion are older cars. Thus, engineers worked out the kinks long ago. It follows that Johnson is hardly the only Chevrolet driver mired in the muck.
Matchup to Watch
Overall Harvick has the best average finish of the Big Three at Pocono at 12.7. But he has never posted a NASCAR betting win there. Balanced against that is tenth place Denny Hamlin. To Illuminate he has four career wins at Pocono. And 10 top five runs. In view of that he makes for a great alternative dark horse. Especially in a Toyota.
NASCAR games Betting Odds Picks
To conclude Martin Truex Jr is the top Big Three pick to win the race. Concurrently Denny Hamlin also merits a reasoned long shot.
