Plenty of Things to Look Forward To In 2011 Fl Betting Season

Fl Betting: Plenty of Things to Look Forward To In 2011 Season.  It seems like the 2010 F1 betting season is just ended, and while only a few weeks have passed since the checkered flag dropped on the exciting racing season, it’s already time to start looking ahead to the 2011 F1 action.

2010 was a great year for racing enthusiasts and arguably one most competitive F1 odds season in decades. What started out as a two-horse race with Red Bull and MacLaren turned into a 3-way battle to the end as Ferrari started off on fire, cooled, and then picked up the pace down the stretch to force a thrilling final race in Abu Dhabi in which Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel grabbed the Drivers Cup at the final event of the year.

Looking ahead to the 2011 F1 betting action these three teams look to be the favorites once again in terms of taking the Constructors Cup and winning the driving title as well.  But just which driver will take the top spot is something that can’t be answered until likely the last race of the upcoming season.

Right now there are 5 drivers in the F1 Odds that could be legitimate favorites to top the Drivers Table in the 2011 season.  Obviously, Vettel, the defending champ has a good a chance as anyone to win the Cup again, but by most accounts –despite being the new world champion- he’s not even the best driver on his own team.  Red Bull teammate Mark Webber was promoted and favored as the #1 driver on the team all year and even looked to be the favorite to win the Drivers Cup heading into the final and decisive race of the season.

But Red Bulls will have their hands full holding off the two former world champs on the MacLaren team.  Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button finished 4th and 5th, respectively, in the point standings but both were among the favorites in the F1 odds right up to the end.

And then there’s former 2-time world champ Fernando Alonso of Ferrari who finished second to Vettel in the 2010 F1 betting action and just missed out on a 3rd world title in Abu Dhabi by 4 points.
