Hamilton Leads Talented F1 Field with Auto Racing Betting Odds

Fashion the emergence of Lewis Hamilton as the dominant driver in Formula One.  Hamilton is now second on the all-time season’s champion list with five titles.  Only Michael Schumacher’s total of seven championships is better.  Indeed, Hamilton has become the most dominant name on the auto racing betting odds board.  Hamilton was running away with the 2019 Formula One championship race.  Despite Hamilton’s dominance, he is hardly the only top-shelf driver.  Valtteri Bottas, Max Verstappen, and Sebastian Vettel lead a highly talented field of competitors.  Let’s take a look at the very best of Formula One!

Lewis Hamilton

At the onset of the 2019 Formula, One season was Hamilton’s eight wins in 12 starts.  Hamilton has 81 career wins with the auto racing betting odds. He is within range of his third consecutive world championship.  Of course, Hamilton’s biggest win of the year was at Monaco.  Hamilton has won Monaco in two of the last four years.  Additionally, he picked up big 2019 wins in China, Spain, Canada, Great Britain, and Hungary.  Since 2013 Hamilton has been a member of Mercedes AMG Petronas.

Valtteri Bottas

Second to Hamilton in the Formula One Standings is Valtteri Bottas.  Bottas is yet to win a Formula One championship but has emerged as a successful and winning driver.  In his first 12 starts for 2019, Bottas posted two offshore bookmaker wins.  At the beginning of the season was a win at Australia.  Bottas was also victorious at Azerbaijan.  Consistency has been the hallmark of Bottas’ success.  He finished no worse than eighth in all but one race for 2019.  A fifth-place finish in the final 2018 standings earned the respect of all.

Max Verstappen

On this occasion, a driver that could bring auto racing betting odds value is Max Verstappen.  So far in 2019 Verstappen won two races and finished fifth or better in all 12 races.  Verstappen has never won a championship and has seven career wins.  In the 2018 season, Verstappen finished fourth in the standings.  Namely, Hamilton is such a dominant figure that gamblers are looking for bargains elsewhere.  Verstappen is the type of driver that can bring great returns.  Much more so than Hamilton and the expensive prices that he commands.

Sebastian Vettel

For one thing, it was not all that long ago when Sebastian Vettel was the hottest thing in Formula One.  Vettel is a four-time champion from 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013.   Although he did not win a race in 2019, he was fourth in the standings.  Vettel finished fifth or better in 11 of his 12 starts to this current season.  Last year Vettel finished second to Hamilton in the standings.  His last win was in the 2018 Belgian Grand Prix.

Charles Leclerc

Starting with his fifth-place standing 21-year-old Charles Leclerc is an emerging star.  Following a 13th place finish in 2018 LeClerc has made rapid gains.  His first career win is likely going to come sooner rather than later.  LeClerc had two retirements in 12 starts but was otherwise quite successful.  Leclerc finished fifth or better in his other 10 starts for 2019.

Kimi Raikkonen

Although he is on the downside of his career at age 39 Kimi Raikkonen remains a sentimental favorite.  Raikkonen last won at the 2018 United States Grand Prix.   Moreover, he finished third place in the 2018 standings.
