The dominant betting on NASCAR talk has revolved around Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch. Busch leads the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup standings. He was utterly dominant last week in the Coca Cola 600. Not only did he win but he also led every stage. Kevin Harvick had a disappointing night there with a blown tire putting him in 40th place. Sandwiched between Busch and Harvick is Joey Logano. The second place Logano has won only one race. But few drivers have been as consistent. Meanwhile Jimmie Johnson continues to climb. The Triangle track of Pocono is the venue Sunday.

Pocono Raceway
Pocono Raceway is one of the most unique tracks on the NASCAR circuit in fact. “The Tricky Triangle” is an asphalt surface that is 2.5 miles in length with three turns and moderate banking. It has been opened since 1971 and seats 76,812. Pocono is successful enough to host two NASCAR Cup races each year. The second race will be July 29. The June event has been run under various title sponsors since 1982. Ryan Blaney was the betting on NASCAR winner last year. Kurt Busch was the winner in 2016. Martin Truex Jr took the checkers in 2015.
Nascar Standings
Following Busch, Logano and Harvick in the standings is Brad Keselowski. Martin Truex Jr, Kurt Busch, and Denny Hamlin are next. Clint Bowyer, Kyle Larson, and Aric Almirola complete the top ten. Seven time champion Jimmie Johnson is in 12th place. And is yet to win a race. But after a terrible start Johnson has slowly improved. He was fifth last week in the Coca Cola 600.
Kyle Busch
Kyle Busch now has posted four wins on the season. Four more times he finished second or third. Just three times has he failed to finish in the top ten. However, at Pocono Busch has had mixed online sportsbook results. In 26 starts he has but one win with 11 top tens. His average finish at Pocono is 17.5.
Harvick
Harvick has won five races so far this season. He has finished out of the top ten just three times. But three bad finishes of 31st, 35th, and 40th have kept him out of second place. Incredibly enough Harvick has never won at Pocono in 34 career starts. He has 15 top ten finishes there. His average finish at the “Tricky Triangle” is 13.0.
Joey Logano
Relatively anonymous Joey Logano has finished out of the top ten just three times. Only once has he been out of the top 20. That was last week at Charlotte with a 22nd place run. In 18 starts at Pocono, Logano has one win and six top tens. His average finish there is 17.5
Denny Hamlin
Denny Hamlin has been outstanding at Pocono. Hamlin has four wins and ten top fives in 24 career starts there. He has finished in the top seven his last three starts.
Matchup to Watch
Everyone will be watching Kyle Busch and Harvick. They are justified to be betting on NASCAR chalks. But that sets up well for Hamlin.
