NASCAR betting saw Jimmie Johnson dominate in 2009 while bad boy Kyle Busch fell back. Will Kyle be a popular choice at the sportsbook this season for those betting NASCAR racing? And will he win races in NASCAR wagering on the Sprint Cup Series instead of just on the Nationwide Series?NASCAR wagering odds still give Kyle Busch a lot of respect. He is one of the NASCAR betting favorites behind Jimmie Johnson to win this year’s championship. He is also the favorite to win the opening NASCAR wagering race of the season at Daytona. Kyle did a lot of winning in NASCAR wagering on the Nationwide Series but he didn’t take that success over to the Sprint cars.
He won nine times on the lower tiered series in NASCAR wagering and finished in the Top 10 a total of 30 times. How much credit you should get for dropping down to the second tier series and winning is up for debate. In some ways it is unfair to drivers coming up in the ranks for Cup drivers to race in the Nationwide Series but that is what Kyle did. While he gets the NASCAR wagering wins in the lower series he is hurting the Nationwide series and possibly himself in terms of the Cup series. There are no real contenders from the Nationwide Series that are making the jump to the Cup Series so there are no newcomers to consider when betting NASCAR racing. Is that because drivers like Kyle Busch are driving in that series when they should be focused on the Sprint Cup?
Kyle Busch did win four times in NASCAR wagering on the Sprint Cup side but far too often he was not a factor. Those betting NASCAR racing know that he let his emotions get the better of him way too often and at times was not prepared for the Sprint Cup races. It could be that it is too much to driver in the Trucks, the Nationwide and the Sprint Cup. Winning in NASCAR wagering at the Nationwide level is not anywhere near like the Sprint Cup level. The races do not get the same NASCAR wagering attention and they don’t pay as well. If Kyle Busch is to win a championship he is going to have to focus on the Sprint Cup Series more than he focuses on other things. Right now that doesn’t seem likely to happen. Betting NASCAR racing and taking Kyle Busch will still be popular but he probably is not a wise choice to win the overall title right now.
