The Top Tier Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series is taking the weekend off. That leaves betting on NASCAR attention on the Xfinity Series. Sunday night NASCAR’s second tier will run at the Iowa Speedway. And a rookie is the favorite to win the race. Christopher Bell is atop the board to take the American Ethanol E15 250. And not without good reason. But points leader Elliott Sadler is coming off his worst race of the year last week. Iowa is among his best tracks. The defending regular season champion merits serious consideration. Justin Allgaier has posted impressive numbers as well.

Iowa Speedway
The American Ethanol E15 250 has been run at Iowa under various names since 2011. William Byron was the betting on NASCAR winner of this event last year. The Iowa speedway is a D shaped oval that is 0.875 miles in length. It has turn banks ranking from 12 to 14 degrees. In fact, Iowa is so popular that the track gets two Xfinity races each year.
Elliott Sadler
Elliott Sadler leads the Xfinity Series standings despite not winning a race. Sadler had finished in the top ten every week until last Saturday. He finished 30th at Michigan for his first bad run of the year. Sadler could make for an excellent online sportsbook bet to bounce back. At Iowa he has 14 starts with one win, 13 top tens, and an average finish of 5.9.
Christopher Bell
Christopher Bell has had an impressive rookie season. He posted a win at Richmond and has finished no worse than fourth in seven out of 13 races.
Cole Custer
No driver has been in better recent form than Cole Custer. He has finished fifth or better in the last three races. In just two of his last 13 starts has he finished out of the top ten. Custer is yet to win a race.
Justin Allgaier
Justin Allgaier could be ready to make his move at Iowa. Allgaier has impressive numbers this year. He has three second place finishes. And has also finished in third place twice. Allgaier has posted one win on the year. At Iowa he has plenty of experience with 12 starts. And in 12 starts Allgaier has posted eight top ten finishes.
Daniel Hemric
Daniel Hemric is winless on the year as well. But has been in fine form as of late. Hemric has finished seventh or better in his last four starts. Last week at Michigan he finished in second place.
Tyler Reddick
Tyler Reddick has rivaled Bell as top rookie driver. His lone win this season was opening day at Daytona. He has placed in the top ten in four of the last five races.
Matchup to Watch
Allgaier and Sadler look well primed for betting on NASCAR success. Iowa is a favored track for them. Each has been reliable through the schedule so far.
