On Friday, November 4, there are five Breeders Cup betting races. Of course, the biggest is the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile is the most important race. The Juvenile winner will likely become the chalk for the 2023 Kentucky Derby. Meanwhile, the Breeders’ Cup Classic, run on Saturday, is the pivotal race of the entire weekend. 2022 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile – Friday, 5 PM ET – USA and FanDuel TV

Specifically, the Juvenile is 1 1/16 miles in length, run on dirt, Grade 1, and with an online sportsbook purse of $2 million. The Juvenile is one of the most highly scrutinized races at the Breeders’ Cup. Cause by the field being comprised of the top 2023 Kentucky Derby contenders. All horses are two years old.

At the onset, Cave Rock is a 4/5 favorite in the Juvenile. Trainer Bob Baffert is the biggest brand on the board. Despite his suspensions and history of controversy and alleged improprieties with his horses. So far in his career, Cave Rock has won all three of his career starts. Including Grade 1 wins at the 2022 American Pharoah and the 2022 Del Mar Futurity.

Second, on the board is Todd Pletcher trained Forte at 4/1. Pletcher is the training arch-rival of Baffert and commands plenty of cache with gamblers too. Forte has won three of his four career starts. Including two consecutive Grade wins at the Breeders’ Futurity and Hopeful.

Also garnering attention is Blazing Sevens at 6/1. The highly successful Chad Brown trains Blazing Sevens. In like manner to Baffert and Pletcher, Brown has plenty of board presence. Blazing Sevens has two wins in three starts. Last time out was a Grade 1 win at the Champagne.

2022 Breeders’ Cup Classic – Saturday 5:40 PM – NBC

Finally, the Classic is the last race of the Breeders’ Cup Betting event. This race will be 1 ¼ miles in length, run on dirt, Grade 1, and with a purse of $6 million. The Breeders’ Cup Classic is the greatest of the greats race for any horse aged three years or older.

Flightline opened as a powerhouse 3/5 favorite in the Breeders’ Cup Classic. John Sadler is the trainer with name brand jockey Flavien Prat. Flightline has won all five of his career races. Including Grade 1 wins at the Pacific Classic, Malibu, and the Metropolitan.

Next at 5/1 is Steve Asmussen trained Epicenter. Last year Epicenter was a top Kentucky Derby favorite and finished 2nd. He is coming off a Grade 1 win at the Travers Stakes. The Travers Stakes is one of the most prestigious races of the year.

Todd Pletcher’s entry Life is Good is a 6/1 choice. Late on, Life is Good has won six consecutive races. Including Grade 1 wins at the Whitney, Pegasus World Cup, and Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.
