Breeders Cup odds are likely to favor Zenyatta in either the Breeders Cup Classic or the Ladies’ Classic.The horse is pre-entered in both races but seems more likely for the Breeders Cup Classic which is the highlight in Breeders Cup betting. Breeders Cup lines would have the filly Zenyatta favored over the males. It would be the first time in her career that she will have faced the males. Santa Anita oddsmaker Jon White said that he would make her the morning line favorite in Breeders Cup lines even against Rip Van Winkle. There is no question that the two horses that will get the most play for the Breeders Cup lines Classic are Zenyatta and Rip Van Winkle but the filly will be favored.
Zenyatta would be an overwhelming favorite in Breeders Cup odds in the Ladies’ Classic. She will be a slight Breeders Cup betting favorite in the Classic. Rip Van Winkle will probably be the second choice. He has only been favored in two of his eight career starts.
It is likely that Zenyatta will be 5-2 followed by Rip Van Winkle at 7-2. Summer Bird is the likely third Breeders Cup lines choice at about 9-2. It is expected that Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird will have Breeders Cup lines of at least 10-1. The Breeders Cup Classic is the final race of the 14 Breeders Cup races. It will be shown on ESPN television on Saturday, November 7th.
Breeders Cup lines begin on Friday, November 6th with six races which will be televised by ESPN 2. The first Breeders Cup betting race is the Marathon which begins at 3:35 pm Eastern. It is followed by the Juvenile Fillies Turf, The Juvenile Fillies, the Filly & Mare Turf, The Filly & Mare Sprint and the Ladies’ Breeders Cup lines Classic. There will be a pick six offered on Friday since there are six Breeders Cup races. There will also be a Daily Double on the Ladies’ Classic to the Breeders Cup lines Classic the next day.
Saturday there are eight races in Breeders Cup odds beginning with the Juvenile Turf at 1:45 pm Eastern. That race and the Turf Sprint and the Sprint will be televised on ABC. The remaining five Breeders Cup betting races will be televised on ESPN. They are the Juvenile, the Mile, the Dirt Mile, the Turf and the Breeders Cup Classic.
