Liverpool Ties at Home in Soccer Betting Disappointment

Soccer betting experts would have never guessed it, but Liverpool was unable to secure a win at home on Monday against Birmingham City. It was indeed a very tough soccer wagering  night for Rafa Benítez, the manager of the Liverpool squad. Injuries on top of injuries and with soccer wagering online officials even issuing a cheating accusation for one of his players, he definitely had at the very least a migraine.

Soccer wagering on Liverpool seemed grim and it appeared as if Birmingham City was going to take the win up until a fortunate (yet controversial) penalty was awarded to S. Gerrard to tie up the score 2-2. With 19 points, Liverpool finds themselves 7th in soccer betting in the English Premier League, behind Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Manchester City.

Speaking of Manchester City, Liverpool’s next soccer wagering match will be against Man City on the 21st of November, another home match for the Reds. The team is putting their best foot forward, and really making an effort to win in soccer betting online. So much so, that a lot of them suffer injuries. Albert Riera got knocked around, even with a hamstring injury he’s recovering from. Daniel Agger, and Yossi Benayoun dropped as well. Fernando Torres didn’t even see soccer wagering playing time because of his run-in with a groin injury. There are concerns that Torres may not be ready in time for the Manchester City soccer betting game on the 21st.

Liverpool soccer wagering  fans all over found themselves having to settle for a tie Monday night. The score could have been worse had David N’Gog not dived inside the box with 20 minutes of soccer betting online left on the clock. True, he helped LFC by allowing Gerrard the penalty kick, but such a dive did not come without much deserved soccer betting criticism. Birmingham City’s Lee Carsley stretched out his leg and lunged to kick out the ball as N’Gog made his run for the goal. Carsley touched neither the ball nor did he trip N’Gog, but the player from Liverpool still found himself face down on the turf. It was a graceful dive, but a dive nonetheless.

On November 21st, soccer betting will see Birmingham City Football Club host Fulham Football Club at St. Andrew’s Stadium. Also for on November 21st, Liverpool Football Club hosts Manchester City Football Club at Anfield.
