The fourth round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup continues today with several interesting soccer betting matchups involving MLS teams and squads from lower divisions.

As a top-tier team, the United enters the tournament in the fourth round. The Five Stripes are 8th in the MLS Eastern Conference and have lost their last two straight games. As an expansion team, this is Atlanta’s first-ever US Open Cup.
The Battery, from the United Soccer League, entered the Open Cup in the second round where they defeated the Atlanta Silverbacks 2-1. Then they proceeded to knock out Jacksonville Armada 1-0 in the third round, thus avenging last year’s elimination in that selfsame round. The Battery lead the USL Eastern Conference and have lost only two out of 13 games this season. Charleston was the US Open Cup runner-up in 2008, made the semis in 1999 and 2004, and reached the quarterfinals in 2007, 2009, and 2010.
The New England Revolution vs. the Rochester Rhinos soccer betting preview

The Revolution won the 2007 Open Cup and finished second in 2001 and last year when they lost the final to FC Dallas. The Revs are 7th in the MLS Eastern Conference and are 1-1-1 in their last three games.
The Rhinos of the USL beat the FC Motown 3-0 in the second round of the Open Cup and then held off the GPS Omens 2-1 in overtime in the third round. Rochester won the 1999 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The Rhinos are 5th in the USL Eastern Conference and are in the midst of a seven-game undefeated streak – mostly draws but still.
North Carolina FC vs. the Houston Dynamo soccer betting preview

The Dynamo has advanced as far as the semifinals of the Open Cup twice, in 2006 and 2009, and has reached the quarterfinals in the last editions of the Cup. Houston is 3rd in the MLS Western Conference and is coming off a 1-0 loss to Seattle on Sunday.
North Carolina (of the North American Soccer League) blew out the Carolina Dynamo 6-1 in the second round of the Open Cup and routed the Charlotte Independence 4-1 in the third round. NCFC’s best finish in the Open Cup was the semis in 2007 – when they were known as Carolina RailHawks FC – and they hope to go past their fourth round elimination last year.
