2022 AT&T Byron Nelson Betting Odds, Preview & Picks (May 12-15, 2022)

At the beginning of the week, Scottie Scheffler was on top of the board as the Golf betting Lines favorite for the AT&T Byron Nelson. This week the PGA Tour plays at TPC Craig Ranch. Specifically, it is a private club in the Dallas suburbs. Former PGA Great Tom Weiskopf designed the course. The TPC Craig Ranch championship course is a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour. The AT&T Byron Nelson was founded in 1944. Scheffler is on Top of the World

First on the Official World Golf Ranking is Scottie Scheffler. This week’s tournament is Scheffler’s first since winning the Masters Tournament. Scheffler is the hottest online betting product on tour this year. Scheffler has won four of his last six tournaments. Including three of his most recent five outings.

Jon Rahm Looks to Get Back on Top

Before Scottie Scheffler took over the top spot on the Official World Golf Ranking, Jon Rahm was #1 for much of the past two years. Of great concern is how Rahm was slumping for most of the 2022 schedule. But Rahm is coming off a win at the Mexico Open at Vidanta. Rahm has two top-10 finishes in his most recent three events. Thus, there is a sense that his worst days could be behind him. Rahm’s status this week remains unknown, but he is a man to watch in the weeks ahead.

Justin Thomas Continues Slump

Although Justin Thomas is the second choice this week, he has been inconsistent over the past few tournaments. Thomas has finished in the top-10 in four of his last seven events. Last time out, Thomas was an abysmal 35th at the RBC Heritage. But he was eighth at the Masters Tournament and third at the Valspar Championship.

Will Zalatoris Emerges as New Threat

Of course, Will Zalatoris is not a household name with the gambling public. At least not yet. Zalatoris is coming off a sixth-place finish at the Masters Tournament. Previously he finished fifth at the World Golf Championship Dell Technologies Match Play. Gamblers are taking notice.

Dustin Johnson Fails to Regain Championship Form

The last time out for Dustin Johnson was a missed cut at the RBC Heritage. That followed a 12th-place finish at the Masters Tournament and a fourth-place finish at the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play. Johnson has failed to play at the level of his 2020 career year.

Xander Schauffele in Free Fall

Of great concern is that Xander Schauffele has missed the cut in two of his most recent four events. The last time out was a missed cut at the Masters Tournament.

2022 AT&T Byron Nelson Free Pick

As mentioned earlier, Jon Rahm has perked back up with the Golf Betting Lines. Scottie Scheffler may show rust after his long break.
