Omaha Beach

Omaha Beach exploded to the top of the Kentucky Derby betting board as co-favorite after a win in the Arkansas Derby.  Specifically, he has won three races in a row to bring considerable momentum to Churchill Downs.  The Arkansas Derby ran on April 13 and was a Grade One race that was a mile and an eighth in length.  Hence that Arkansas Derby win followed a Grade Two Rebel Stakes win on March 16.  The Rebel Stakes was a mile and sixteenth in length.

Roadster

In the same way Roadster has emerged with two impressive facts.  First, Roadster won the prestigious Grade One Santa Anita Derby on April 6.  The race was a mile and an eighth in length.  Further it was Roadster’s third win in four starts.  Just as impressive to gamblers is the fact that Roadster is trained by Bob Baffert.  Baffert is the Hall of Famer that has trained the last two Triple Crown champions.  Also, on Roadster’s resume is a Grade One win in the Del Mar Futurity last September 3.

Game Winner

Extending the top tier of favorites is Game Winner, another Bob Baffert trained horse.  Game winner finished second to Roadster in the Santa Anita Derby. And he finished second to Omaha Beach in the Rebel Stakes.  Game Winner first drew the attention of gamblers with his win in the Grade One Breeders Cup Juvenile.  In fact, the win in the mile and sixteenth race last November 2 catapulted Game Winner as an early favorite for Derby Day.

Improbable

Yet another Bob Baffert trained horse is Improbable.  To begin with Improbable posted a win in the Grade One Los Alamitos Futurity on December 8.  Late results show Improbable with second place finishes in the Arkansas Derby and Rebel Stakes.  With three wins and two second place finishes to go with the Baffert connection gamblers are looking hard at this colt.

Haikal

Counter those other favorites Haikal is coming off a disappointing Sportsbook Result in his last race.  Haikal finished third in the Grade Two Wood Memorial on April 6.  Subsequently before that, Haikal posted three straight wins.

Matchup to Watch

In this situation Game Winner makes for a classic Kentucky Derby Betting Beaten favorite play.  In turn he can score revenge against his Baffert trained rival Roadster.  Certainly, these two Baffert horses are the best in thee lineup.
