Baseball Betting – Latos & Padres vs. Greinke & Brewers

November 2nd, 2020 Betting on MLB Baseball

It is a matchup of two high profile pitchers who are struggling on Monday in baseball betting as Mat Latos and the Padres visit Zack Greinke and the Brewers. The Brewers are favored in this game but it is still hard to have too much confidence when you bet on MLB and take Greinke.

Mat Latos
Not much has gone right for Mat Latos this season. The ace of the Padres staff finally broke a streak of nine straight losses that went back to last season when he got a no-decision against the Pirates. He allowed two runs in six innings.   Latos is 0-4 this season with a 4.55 ERA. He is 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in his career against the Brewers.

Zack Greinke
It was not a good season debut for Greinke has he was shelled in Atlanta last time out.  This will be the first start in Miller Park for Greinke as a member of the Brewers so he will want to make a good first impression.

Brewers Finally at Home
Milwaukee is coming home after a brutally long 10-game road trip that did not go well at all. The Brewers went a pathetic 2-8 on the trip as their offense completely deserted them.  Just how bad has it been on offense for Milwaukee lately?  They have scored one or no runs in six of their last ten games.  No matter how good of pitching a team gets they are rarely going to win when they score only one run. Perhaps things will change now that Milwaukee is at home as they are 8-5 at home this season.

Padres Better on the Road
For some inexplicable reason the Padres have a better record on the road than at home. The Padres have been awful at home but on the road they are 7-6 in baseball betting. Looking at other numbers, the Padres are 6-14 in their last 20 games vs. a right-handed starter. The Padres are 1-9 in Latos’ last 10 starts and they are 0-5 in Latos’ last 5 road starts.

Over the Total
Even though Latos and Greinke are high profile pitchers and neither team is scoring many runs, the trends point to an over as you bet on MLB at Sbg global.com.  The Over is 5-2 in the Brewers last 7 home games and in this series the Over is 7-0 in the last 7 meetings in Milwaukee.
