Baseball odds on Angels vs. Rangers Tips to Bet and Win. The Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers conclude their four game series tonight in Arlington. The first pitch at Rangers Ballpark is scheduled to be tossed at 8:05ET.
On Monday, in the series opener, it was bombs away for L.A., more in the tradition of a Raiders/Cowboys game than one played with a cowhide sphere. The Angels put up two touchdowns and a two point conversion versus the Rangers solo TD adding a two pointer as well in the 15-8 slugfest.
The Angels’ Kendrys Morales put on his own exhibition, homering from each side of the plate in the same inning. The second roundtripper came with the bases loaded. Los Angeles scored 9 times in that sixth inning to put away the Baseball odds game.
In game two, it was Albert Pujols’ turn to hit two home runs, but he did it in the more traditional fashion in different innings and from the same side of the plate. How boring! The Angels only scored 3 in the sixth this time, but it was enough to emerge victorious 6-2. Check the MLB Odds for Angels vs. Rangers game.
Last night the game was much more exciting and resulted in a walk off win for Texas 11-10 in 10 innings. Pujols had 2 more homers in this one. The game entered the ninth with the Angels looking for another “W” and leading 7-6. Texas tied it at 7, only to have the Angels put up 3 in the top of the tenth. Then, against all odds, the Rangers scored 4 in the bottom half of the inning and won it on an Elvis Andrus walk off single.
Los Angeles (57-48) now trail the Rangers (60-43) by four games. Texas has played well in this Dallas suburb and are 33-21 at home. L.A. is 27-26 in road affairs.
Ex Cub Ryan Dempster will be on the hill tonight for Texas. The righthander was acquired literally during the last minutes leading up to the trade deadline on Tuesday. He was 5-5 for the lowly Cubbies with an outstanding ERA of 2.25. Southpaw, C.J. Wilson (9-7, 2.88 ERA) takes the hill for the Angels. Check the MLB Odds for Angels vs. Rangers game.
Texas is a home favorite at -$110, while Los Angeles is a +$100. The over/under is a somewhat surprising 9.5 total runs given both of these pitchers have ERA’s under 3.00. The O/U moneyline is $110/$100.
