Bet on MLB – Boston at Oakland

November 18th, 2020 Betting on MLB Baseball

Bet on MLB – Boston at Oakland Handicapping tips and more.  The Boston Red Sox will try and stretch their winning streak to 4 straight but those who bet on MLB are leaning with the A’s on Tuesday.  The reason that some MLB betting gamblers like the A’s is the pitching matchup. Boston is going with John Lackey while Oakland sends Brett Anderson.

Huge Start for Lackey
This is a really big start for Boston starting pitcher John Lackey. He has not pitched well this season. He got a win last time out against the Yankees but don’t let that fool you as you bet on MLB. He was terrible as he allowed six runs on seven hits in five innings.  His other outing this season was even worse and his ERA on the season is 15.58. It definitely is one of the highest ERA’s you will ever see for a pitcher whose record is 1-1. The one positive for Lackey is that he has had a lot of success against the A’s in his career. He is 17-5 with a 2.90 ERA against Oakland. Almost all of that success came though when he pitched for the Angels.

Hard Luck for Anderson
It would be tough to find a pitcher who has had more hard luck than Brett Anderson. His ERA is 2.29 this season, yet Anderson’s record this season is 0-1.  He got a no-decision last time out against Chicago. Anderson is 3-1 in his career against the Red Sox with a 2.61 ERA.
