The online MLB betting season continues this Thursday with a total of 13 matchups for fans to wager on. Let’s take a look at Wednesday’s betting results, before looking over any favorable matchups this Thursday.
Wednesday’s Online MLB Betting Recap
Wednesday’s action was kicked off by the Detroit Tigers, who picked up an impressive 2-0 win over the New York Yankees. The Yankees have been trying to regain their lead atop the AL East, but yesterday’s stumble against Detroit set them back again.
The Red Sox did not get an opportunity to defend their lead, since their contest against the Cleveland Indians was postponed.
The Houston Astros suffered one of the biggest upsets of the day, conceding a 3-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. Houston’s lead atop the AL West remains unfazed however.
Baseball wagering sites were predicting a contentious match between the New York Mets and the Colorado Rockies. The result turned out to be a little different, with the Mets dropping 10-5 shocker on the Rockies.
The Arizona Diamondbacks avenged Tuesday’s startling defeat at the hands of the Cubs, shutting out Chicago 3-0.
The Cubs will face Arizona once again this Thursday. Let’s take a look at what the sportsbook odds have to say about this matchup.

Additionally, Arizona owns a ½ game lead over third-place Colorado. The Diamondbacks have been absent from the postseason for the 4 years now, but have a chance to put an end to that drought in 2017.
Thursday’s online MLB betting matchup will be Game 3 of this series. So far, games 1 & 2 have been split, with the Cubs winning the first one defiantly 16-4 but Arizona bounced back in the second one 3-0. The Cubs have been hitting their stride in the second half of the online MLB betting season, suffering just three losses since the second half kicked off. Chicago is hell-bent on making the postseason this year, to try and win another World Series title.
