MLB odds are surely to favor the Detroit Tigers when they travel to Baltimore to take on the Orioles. The Tigers seem to be finally living up to their potential in the MLB betting odds after some major off season moves in recent years and the O’s keep stinking up the MLB odds. When these two teams square off in the baseball odds on May 28th the visiting team should be overwhelming favorite baseball betting odds favorite.
Baseball odds fans have seen the Tigers acquire a number of top free agents in recent years and watched as a young pitching staff full of promise failed to live up expectations. Yet in the 2009 MLB odds season it seems as if the pieces are finally falling into place. Slugger Miguel Cabrerra who got off to a slow start two years ago in Detroit has been assaulting opposing pitchers in the MLB odds, batting .367 with 33 RBIs and 9 HRs. He slimmed down in the offseason and is off to his best start in an MLB betting odds season since joining the team.
But Cabrerra is hardly the only Tiger who’s putting the wood to the ball in this year’s baseball odds competition. Brandon Inge has had a major power surge this year and leads the team with 12 home runs. Curtis Granderson has also sent a few balls deep in the MLB odds competition and is second on the team with 11 HRs. The only trouble spot in the lineup has been Maglio Ordonez who has had a quiet start to the year but no one finishes the second half of the season in baseball odds hotter than Ordonez.
On the mound the Edwin Jackson has emerged as the team ace with a 4-2 record and a 2.51 ERA. Collectively the Tigers starting rotation has been one of the most effective in the baseball odds. Their five starters have combined for 19 wins and Dontrelle Willis looks as though he could be returning to the form that made him one of the top pitchers in baseball odds just a few years ago.
There’s not much good to say about the O’s. They’re the worst team in the AL East MLB betting odds, yet again and eight games out of first. Adam Jones has been very good at the plate batting .341 and belting 10 HRs and battery mate Nick Markakis has been sharp as well (.310, 7 HR and 38 RBIs). But that’s about it for a team that has almost no starting pitching to speak of and whose best arm is its closer. Detroit should win this baseball odds match up and win the series as well.
