Its official: there is no team in the MLB odds action right now hotter than the Texas Rangers. This is a group of possessed men playing as if their lives depended on the them winning their MLB lines matchup and after rattling off a baseball betting best 10 wins in a row they’ve got a great opportunity to go for win #11 Thursday night vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates at home in Arlington, TX.
There are number of reason why the Rangers (43-28) will be favored to win this MLB odds matchup, not the least of which is the fact that this team will have home field advantage in the MLB lines contest. But it just so happens that the Rangers are a very good home team with a record of 25-11 playing within the comfortable confines of their Texas ballpark, which his amongst the best home records in the MLB odds action.
But the biggest reason why the MLB odds makers are going to favor Texas in this matchup is quite simple: the Pirates are awful.
In fact, Pittsburgh (25-46) are officially the second worst team in the MLB odds action, according to their overall record, but they just might be the worst team as baseball betting fans would find out if they were to ever take the filed against the 19-52 Baltimore Orioles.
The Pirates will be sending Jeff Karstens to the mound in Thursday’s game, another of non-descript arms in the Pirates rotation that has been for all intents and purposes, ineffective. With a 2-2 record and an ERA of 4.72, Karstens will present no special obstacle to the Rangers as they seek their 11th straight MLB odds victory.
The Rangers starting pitcher will be Scott Feldman, who won’t provide Texas fans any special relief with his 5-6 record and whopping 5.16 ERA. But he has won his last two starts and pitched 6.0 and 7.0 innings, respectively, in those wins.
But so long as Feldman can keep the Pirates under 5 runs or so, which almost any MLB odds pitcher can do against this hapless team, the team will be in good shape to get the win as the batting lineup has been scoring runs at a torrid pace.
Bet on Texas to get its 11th straight win in the MLB betting lines tonight.
