Two pitchers that have not had much luck get together on Tuesday in MLB betting as the Baltimore Orioles visit the Chicago White Sox. Normally when a pitcher has an ERA he has a record above .500 but when you look at Tuesday’s baseball betting you will find a couple of hard luck starters in the game between the Orioles and White Sox.
MLB betting odds favor the White Sox but don’t underestimate the Orioles. They have been very good under manager Buck Showalter. You can’t just go against Baltimore like you could earlier this season. Maybe the under is worth a shot in this game. Let’s take a look.
Orioles Starting Pitcher: This is the first game of a three-game series. The Orioles are playing the first game of a six-game road trip while the White Sox are starting a six-game home stand. Mark Guthrie gets the ball for Baltimore and he is one of their best pitchers. His ERA is 3.97 but his record is 7-12.
Did you know that before last Wednesday’s game he had the second-best ERA in baseball in the second half of the season? He didn’t pitch quite as well last time out and he took the loss vs. Seattle. Guthrie is 3-3 in his career against the Sox with an ERA just below four.
White Sox Starting Pitcher: Gavin Floyd gets the ball for Chicago. He has almost identical numbers to Guthrie. He is 8-10 on the season with a 3.97 ERA. Floyd was crappy last time out against Minnesota as he gave up seven runs and 10 hits.
He just can’t seem to beat Minnesota but he is pretty good against everyone else. He is 1-0 vs. Baltimore this season and in his career he is 2-1 with a 2.54 ERA.
Under? So is the under worth a look at Sbgglobal? With Guthrie and Floyd on the mound it is definitely possible that this will be a pitcher’s duel. The Orioles still don’t have a great offense and they have been a team that goes under the total on the road with about 60% of their games going under.
What about the Sox? That is a little bit trickier. They are in the top 10 in offense and they have gone over the total more than they have gone under at home this season but just barely.
