The San Diego Padres are very much in the mix for the playoff but they can’t afford to be losing games in baseball wagering against their archrival Los Angeles Dodgers. The Padres really need the road win in MLB wagering against the Dodgers. They could get it considering the Dodgers have already thrown the towel in on the season. The Padres will look to Clayton Richard on Tuesday. He is 12-8 on the season with a 3.70 ERA. He did not pitch well last time out against the Rockies but no one is pitching well against Colorado recently so you can throw that start out. He had allowed two runs or less in his previous six starts. He is 3-0 in his career against the Dodgers so you have to think he will keep San Diego in the game on Tuesday night.
Dodger Starter – Chad Billingsley is the Dodgers starting pitcher for Tuesday. He is 11-10 on the season with a 3.55 ERA. He has lost three of his last four starts even though he has not given up more than four runs. He is 2-2 with a 2.55 ERA in four starts against the Padres. You would think with an ERA of just over two in his last three starts that Billingsley would be winning but he is 1-2 in those starts because the Dodgers haven’t scored. Billingsley is 10-6 in his career against the Padres with a 2.68 ERA.
Under the Total – Whenever the Padres are playing you have a chance to win an under bet at Sbgglobal. The Padres have a very good pitching staff and a suspect offense. The Padres have been a better team to take under the total on the road than at home which is surprising considering how tough it is to hit at Petco Park.
Series History – The Padres had won 12 of the last 20 against the Dodgers before this series began. The Padres won all three games earlier this month at home vs. the Dodgers. Each of those three games went under the total so you have to give the Padres and the under a serious look in baseball wagering. You might even want to take a shot with a little two-team parlay on Tuesday night.
