The Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies renew their rivalry on Friday night in MLB gambling. Both teams struggled a bit to start the season but now they both look poised to contend in the National League West. The Rockies are at home in this Friday night matchup and they should be slight favorites in baseball gambling.
MLB gambling odds should favor Colorado on Friday, especially since Jeff Francis is expected to get the start for the Rockies. He has been excellent this season with a 1-0 record and a 0.68 ERA. He missed all of last season due to shoulder surgery and he started this season in recovery mode. When he did make his first start he was excellent and that continued in his second start against Kansas City. Francis was excellent back in 2007 when he won 17 games and if he is back to that type of form the Rockies are going to be very tough to beat.
Colorado has not had much success vs. the MLB gambling odds against the Dodgers recently. Los Angeles has won 15 of their last 20 games against Colorado. The Dodgers took two of three at home vs. the Rockies earlier this month. Two of those three games went under the total. The Rockies have really struggled at home against the Dodgers. Last year they lost seven of the nine home games against Los Angeles.
The Dodgers have been much better at home this season than on the road. Whether the Dodgers can continue their success at Colorado is in question considering they are not playing that great on the road this season. Los Angeles has been getting much better pitching recently and they will need it in this series at Colorado.
The Rockies have been better at home than on the road vs. the MLB gambling odds. Colorado should probably be higher in the standing than they are considering they are near the top ten in offense and in ERA. With Ubaldo Jimenez and Jeff Francis pitching well the Rockies could really be tough to handle down the stretch vs. the baseball gambling odds. The Rockies have been going under the total in terms of runs scored per game more than they go over, and that could continue in this series against the Dodgers.
