Some 2nd Half Predictions!

July 14th, 2020 Betting on MLB Baseball

Predictions, odds and stats: Some 2nd Half Predictions! As I take a look at the 2nd half of the 2014 MLB season, here are some predictions that are a good guess in my book!  Why not a guess, since the hitters try to guess what the pitcher will throw next, while the pitcher tries to guess what the hitter is thinking, and manager will guess what reliever they should use next, and we fans and reporters are second-guessing all. Thus, this may lead to some not so correct guessing.  And if that’s what you were thinking, then you probably guessed correctly.

So entering the second half here are some five (5) guesses we make as educated guesses.  So her I take a jab at five guesses for the 2nd half of MLB Predictions 2014.

First I predict/guess that the Anaheim Angels Predictions will finish ahead of the Oakland Athletics in the American League East.  If I had some analytic or statistical data to prove this, it would be great, but this is a gut guess.  The pitching staff of the A’s like Samardzija and Jammel in the rotation, there are questions as to their durability. Thus, we must see how Hammel and Shark make the change to the American League Predictions. Then there are the slumping bats of Donaldson and Cespedes who were definitely not producing up to the All-Star break.

The Anaheim team is not in much better shape as they must get pitchers Wilson and Richards producing, while they have improved their reliefs with acquiring Grill for the bullpen and perhaps they will also ad Kennedy to that staff.  The Angels, where the hottest team entering into the All-Star break.  Their roster includes the best player in the game and the All-Star MVP Trout who leads a very potent batting order.  Either way both the A’s and the Angels will make it to the finals in October.

Second guess is that the LA Dodgers will get the Tampa Ray’s, David Price as they seek an elite pitcher and this match seem to fit the puzzle for the Dodgers.  At this point the Rays can get a better trade for him no than in the fall.  The Dodger who has some great prospects also is willing to invest in the here and now at whatever the cost. That is what it will take for them to land Price. The latest Dodger goal has been to win the League title as well as the World Series ASAP.   So if they landed Price and added him to the rotation of Kershaw, Greinke and Ryu it would be easy to label them as potential favorites to win the World Series.

The Third Prediction/Guess is that the Arizona Cardinals will outlast the National League four-headed monsters that include the Milwaukee Brewers, the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates, the latter that should get a wild card spot.  This prediction is made considering the depth of their pitching rotation of Wainwright, Taveras and Craig and now Martinez and Kelly added to the staff.

The fourth prediction is that in September we will see celebrations in the metropolitan area with Baltimore and Washington. In the American League East the Baltimore Orioles appear to be a survival team with a pitching rotation that is better than that of the N.Y. Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays and add to that their best hitter Machado getting hot, their team is highly dangerous.

And my fifth and last prediction/guess is that the Kansas City Royals will end their losing streak.  The Tigers will more than likely win the AL Central as they displayed as they beat the Royals 3 of the 4 games last week.  Actually the Royal host one of the strongest pitching staffs and a great defense and with help in the hitting department, their remaining game calendar is about the easiest in the league for the 2nd half of those expected to contend.  They means they only have 20 games with teams that are .500 or better and they will attempt to make their first post season spot since back in 1985.

Needless to say for those that Bet on the MLB and especially for those who bet at the Offshore Sportsbook now that’s just a good guess!
