Basketball betting has the Chicago Bulls and Indiana Pacers meeting for the second time in the past few days on Saturday. It is almost a home and home since they played at Chicago on Wednesday. Each team played a game in between though as the Bulls were home against Portland last night while the Pacers were home against the Bucks in NBA betting on Thursday.
Basketball betting stats before Wednesday’s game had the Bulls winning and covering six of the last ten against the Pacers. Indiana has won three of the last five at home against Chicago but they are 2-3 against the NBA betting odds in those games. Three of the last four in this series have gone over the total. The Bulls won at Indiana 109-101 earlier this month in basketball betting. Luol Deng, Derrick Rose and John Salmons, each scored more than 20 points each to lead Chicago in that game.
Chicago is 15-15 this season on the road vs. the basketball betting line. The Bulls are over .500 this season and sometimes it is hard to see how they are doing it. The Bulls are not very good on offense as they rank 25th in the league as NBA betting stats indicate and their defense is nothing special at 14th in the NBA. It is basically Derrick Rose and not much else for Chicago. The Bulls are almost assuredly going to make the playoffs though and be a first round victim for Cleveland, Orlando or Boston.
Indiana has statistics that are similar to Chicago but they have not had nearly as much success. In fact, the Pacers are simply not very good. Danny Granger is the one reason they can cover in basketball betting and he has not even been in the lineup at times. When Granger is in the lineup the Pacers can at least be competitive and cover the NBA betting line. When he is out of the lineup they are simply not worth considering in basketball betting. There is simply not a lot of talent on the Pacers and it is not likely to get better anytime soon. When you look at betting an Indiana game the best way to go is to take the game under the basketball betting total since more often than not they can’t score. That is definitely the case if Granger is not in the starting lineup so be sure and check his status for this game against the Bulls.
