January 5th, 2021 Live NBA Betting Lines

Thursday night’s late game on TNT in basketball betting has the Orlando Magic visiting the Portland Trail Blazers. It should be a good matchup with Dwight Howard and the Magic taking on Brandon Roy and the Blazers.  The NBA basketball betting odds on this game at Sbg global are tight as a competitive game is expected.

Orlando Two-Game Losing Streak
The Magic have lost their last two games and didn’t play well in either game. They were beaten at Milwaukee on Saturday and then totally laid an egg at home on Monday against Atlanta.  The Magic lost 80-74 to the Hawks in an ugly game.  Neither team shot the ball well plus both turned the ball over.  Orlando was worse though as they turned it over 17 times compared to 11 turnovers for Atlanta.  Orlando was just 4-of-22 from 3-point range.  Head coach Stan Van Gundy tried to find a bright spot from the game and couldn’t find one. Quentin Richardson and Mickael Pietrus combined to go 0-of-7 shooting.  Vince Carter scored 18 points on 8-of-16 shooting. Dwight Howard had just 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting. He had 13 rebounds but turned it over six times.

Blazers 6-3 ATS at Home
Portland is coming off two straight home wins that they badly needed.  Portland has lost six straight before winning their last two games.  The Blazers still have issues but at least for two games they did something right.  Wesley Matthews has been excellent of late and the best player for Portland.
