Basketball games have the Orlando Magic favored at home on Thursday against the Chicago Bulls in a game that can be seen on TNT. The Magic have pretty much owned the Bulls, winning eight of the last ten and covering the basketball betting pointspread in six of the ten. Here is a look at this televised contest between the Bulls and the Magic.
Basketball bet has this as the first game of a four-game road trip for the Bulls. The teams have split their two games this season both of which were in Chicago . They won 101-93 while the Magic won 107-87. They have had almost no success at Orlando and have not won there since 2007. Only one of the last four games was even close. The Magic won the season series last year for the third year in a row by going 3-1 versus Chicago. The Magic outscored the Bulls last year 104.5 points per game to 96.5 points per game.
Chicago was rolling along looking very good and suddenly hit the wall in the last week or so. The Bulls now look like an average team again that will just make the playoffs and then lose in the first round. The Bulls have been nothing special at home or on the road vs. the basketball bet line. They have Derrick Rose who is always a threat to impact the basketball bet odds but many of their other players are inconsistent. Losing Joakim Noah was a big blow and they have not played well with him out of the lineup and he is out until late this month. Chicago really has a tough time against physical teams without Noah so they could be in for a very difficult game against Orlando.
The Magic are playing as well as any team in the NBA lately. They look like a title contender again this season. Orlando has been getting balanced scoring with Dwight Howard and Vince Carter leading the way and their defense is once again among the league leaders. Orlando gets a lot of respect on the basketball betting line but they still have managed to have a winning record vs. the pointspread at home.
Orlando should get much of the attention from those making a basketball bet and based on the play of the two teams that would make a lot of sense.
