NBA futures and props on the Chicago Bulls are just about done but the Bulls will try and make a last ditch effort to make the playoffs. They host the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday in a game that can be seen on NBA-TV. It is pretty much a must-win game if the Bulls are to have a chance to make the playoffs and impact basketball futures and props. NBA futures and props on the Bobcats are still alive as Charlotte is in a playoff position. Charlotte doesn’t want to slip though and give the Bulls any hope of catching them. This is a tough spot for both teams on Saturday since they both played last night. The Bobcats were home vs. the Bucks while Chicago was at Washington.
In this series between Charlotte and Chicago, the Bulls have won six of the last ten but they are only 5-5 against the spread. Neither of these teams is going to impact basketball futures and props for long but at least Charlotte has a team that is fun to watch. The Bobcats have a scorer in Stephen Jackson and they have some young talent surrounding him. Charlotte plays good defense but in this series against Chicago the games tend to go over the total. In fact, the last three meetings have gone over. The teams have split the two meetings this season with the Bulls winning 93-90 at home while Charlotte won 113-108 at home.
The Bobcats have been a solid team this season vs. the point spread at home and on the road. With the top defense in the league, Charlotte is oftentimes in games until the end. If they could just get some more offense they could really be dangerous. They rank just 28th in the league in points per game. Gerald Wallace can sometimes provide a second scoring option behind Jackson but far too often the Bobcats struggle to score.
Chicago has been around the .500 mark this season against the spread. The Bulls have Derrick Rose and not much else. They have had injuries all season and that is just one of their problems. Chicago probably won’t make the playoffs but to have any chance they simply have to win this game on Saturday night. It may not be enough anyway but they can at least keep their hopes alive.
