NBA betting favors the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday as they host the Dallas Mavericks. It is the last game before the All-Star break for Dallas and a tough basketball betting situation for them as they played at Golden State last night. NBA betting has seen Denver dominate this series against Dallas. The Nuggets have won eight of the last ten against Dallas and they are a very profitable 7-2-1 against the basketball betting odds. The Mavericks did get some revenge fro last year’s playoff loss when they beat Denver 104-96 on December 27th. Dallas may have a tougher time duplicating that success now that they got that revenge game out of the way. Four of the last five in this NBA betting series have gone over the total. If you are going to bet the Mavericks then the time to do it is when they are on the road. Dallas has been rotten at home in basketball betting but on the road they have a winning record.
The Mavericks are leading the Southwest Division but all is not well in Dallas. The team has not played as well lately and there is serious trade talk going around. Most people don’t believe the Mavericks can challenge the Lakers in the Western Conference and trades are possible. “That’s not for me to decide,” Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki said. “I play hard every night. I just work here. But we showed it earlier in the season that we got what it takes. It’s just that right now we’re in a little funk, a little hole.” Nowitzki is averaging 25 points per game this season. Much of the problem for Dallas has been a leaky defense. Rarely does the team play consistent defense and that costs them in NBA betting. “It seems like every little thing is backfiring on us right now,” Shawn Marion said, “We got to find a way to get out of this.”
Going into Denver to end the first half of the NBA betting season is probably not the best recipe for success for Dallas. Even though they won there earlier this season, Dallas has had limited basketball betting success at Denver through the years. The Nuggets are 13-12-1 at home this season versus the NBA betting pointspread. Denver has gone over the NBA betting total 14 times at home while going under 12 times.
