Moving on in the 2014-15 NBA Playoffs in the Eastern Conference as the Round 1 Game 5 will come our way on Wednesday the 29th of April 2015 with the Series tied 2-2 between the No. 8 seed Nets of Brooklyn and the No. 1 seed Hawks of Atlanta with this Game 5 played at the Phelps Arena in Atlanta, Georgia at 7:10 PM ET and seen on TNT TV.
The odds in this Game 5 are favoring the Hawks of Atlanta at -9 with the Total 200 and -475 on the Money Line, with the comeback on the Nets of Brooklyn at + 9 and +375 on the Money Line.
First I give you of a breakdown of the Series Games to date, starting with Game 1 that was played on Sunday the 19th of April 2015 at Atlanta and the Hawks beat the Nets 99-92, then Game2 also in Atlanta on Wednesday the 22nd of April was won by the Hawks as they beat the Nets 96-91. Next in Game 3 at Brooklyn on Saturday the 25th of April, the Nets beat the Hawks 91-83. In Game 4 on Monday the 27th of April in Brooklyn, the Nets beat again the Hawks 120-115 in OT and leaving the series ties 2-2 after Game 4.
After this Game 5 on Wednesday in Atlanta at 7:10 PM ET, the Game 6 will be played on Friday the 1st of May 2015 at Brooklyn with the time TBD. Then the Final Game 7 (if needed) will be played in Atlanta on Sunday the 3rd of May 2015 with time TBD. The question in this Game 5 is can the Nets get a crucial win playing on the road in Atlanta to eliminate Atlanta’s home court advantage in this Game 5 and return to Atlanta leading the Series 3-2?
If you’re an Nets of Brooklyn fan who will Bet on NBA at a Sportsbook then your teams B. Lopez who only had some 7 shot and he made 6 of them and scored some 17 points and also had 14 rebounds in that game. In game 2 and 4 he actually scored 20 points in each of those games. He also has cause a lot of problems for the Atlanta, when playing defense as in the last 3 games he has managed to average 3 blocks in each game. If Brooklyn is to pull off an upset at Atlanta the Nets will need top performances from D. Williams-point guard, who has had 2 under performed games in the 2nd and 3rd games in which he only made 2 of his 15 attempts. They need him to duplicate his Game 4 in which he scored a total of 35 points, completing 7 of his 11 three pointers and made 13 of his 25 from the field along with some 7 assists in that game 4.
Then if you are a Hawks of Atlanta fan, you know your team is a far cry from the same team that is No. 1 seed and dominated the Nets of Brooklyn during the regular 2014-15 season. A main reason is the poor performance by K. Korver who during the season shot 49% on 3-pointers and thus far in this playoff series he is averaging 33% from 3-point range. In the first 2 games Korver made 49.2 percent of his attempts and in games 3 and 4 only made 7 of his 24 attempts for a mere 29.2%.
Apart from Korver the majority of the Hawks teammates have performed well, with J. Teague having 11 rebounds and 20 points in their game 4 loss, D. Carroll got in groove to score 63% of shots or 21 points, while P. Milsap had double-doubles in the last 2 games as did A. Horford. If the Hawks are to win this Game 5 they need Milsap and Horford to be more physical and aggressive inside to keep the Nets center Lopez in foul trouble, as he has had that problem in 2 of the 7 games to date, plus the Hawks could use some help from their previously very reliable group of bench players, as they have scored more than the Nets bench at 104-93 points to date in this series. The experts predict the Hawks will win this Game 5 on their home court without predicting the score, but said the Nets would cover.
