Jazz Favored in Basketball Betting on ESPN

December 19th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

Basketball betting for the 2010 regular season concludes on Wednesday night as Utah hosts Phoenix in a game that can be seen on ESPN. The playoffs begin on Saturday but before they begin the Jazz and Suns play an important game in NBA wagering that could affect seeding. Basketball betting odds favor the Jazz in this game since they are at home.  This contest is all about who has energy. The Jazz played at Golden State last night while Phoenix was home against Denver. The Jazz have done quite well in this series recently against Phoenix, winning six of the last ten and cover the spread in 7 of the last 10.

This is the fourth meeting between the two teams this season and it might not be the last as they could meet in the first round of the playoffs depending upon how the seedings work out.   The Jazz have won two of the three games this season against Phoenix.  They won 124-115 at home while splitting on the road, winning 116-108 and losing 110-100. Two of those three games went over the total in basketball betting.  Phoenix has had very little success at Utah in recent seasons and they may have a tough time on Wednesday in this game.

Utah has been excellent at home this season in NBA wagering. The Jazz are 26-12-2 vs. the point spread at home this season.   The Jazz have the fourth best offense in the league while their defense is ranked 12th.  Utah has the edge against the Suns because Phoenix plays almost no defense.  The Suns are 26th in the league in points allowed.  The Suns are the top scoring team in the NBA so it would make sense this game would be high scoring.  The problem with taking Phoenix games over the total this season is that it hasn’t worked.  The Suns are going to finish the season with more of their games going under the total than those that went over.  It just goes to show you that the oddsmakers can adjust to anything, even the highest scoring team in the NBA.

This could be an exciting regular season finale on Wednesday night between the Suns and Jazz.  The edge has to go to Utah simply because they are at home and because they have dominated Phoenix at Salt Lake City in recent seasons.
