Lakers End Utah’s 9-Game Winning Streak

December 15th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting had the Los Angeles Lakers ending Utah’s 9-game winning streak on Wednesday. The Lakers were the basketball betting winner as they routed the Jazz 96-81 in Utah and they did it without Kobe Bryant who was out due to injury.

NBA betting has seen the Lakers win the last three games when Kobe did not play including Wednesday when they routed the Jazz.  “This is a good team no matter who’s in or who’s out of the lineup,” said Los Angeles forward Lamar Odom who had 25 points and 11 rebounds, “We’ve got a lot of guys that can play.” Pau Gasol had 22 points and 19 rebounds in the basketball betting victory while Jordan Farmar added 18 points.  The Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference at 41-13. Utah goes into the break at 32-19.

The Lakers have so much talent they have won the last three games in basketball betting without Kobe.  They also were without Andrew Bynum in the NBA betting win over Utah. “We’ve been playing good basketball recently. It was unfortunate that Kobe had to go out and Andrew as well,” Farmar said. “Everybody took it upon themselves to really play better basketball and play together.”

The Jazz are normally excellent at home in NBA betting but they simply did not have any energy on Wednesday. What hurt the Jazz in NBA betting is that they had to play the Clippers in Los Angeles on Tuesday while the Lakers waited in Utah. “Where our energy was is beyond me,” Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. “Our energy level was very, very low. Give them credit. They are a terrific team. That’s why they are the world champions.” Andrei Kirilenko had 17 points to lead the Jazz but Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer had just 11 points each. “They had more energy than us tonight,” Williams said. “They played harder, competed harder and looked like they wanted the game more.”  Basketball betting stats had the Jazz a pathetic 13 for 25 from the foul line in the loss.

The Lakers head into the All-Star break at 25-27-2 against the NBA betting odds.  The Lakers are on a three-game winning streak though, both straight up and against the basketball betting odds.  The Utah Jazz go into the All-Star break at 30-18-3 vs. the NBA betting line.
