LeBron to Chicago Would Change Basketball Betting

LeBron to Chicago Would Change Basketball Betting. Basketball betting is likely to change this off-season as LeBron James makes the choice of where he wants to play. The Chicago Bulls are preparing an offer and LeBron would already have a solid cast with Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Luol Deng.  Chicago would immediately become title contenders in NBA wagering if they land LeBron.

The odds on many teams are going to change since there are a number of big name free agents. LeBron James is the biggest name though and if he moves to Chicago then they will immediately become a contender. Rumors have Kentucky head coach John Calipari being in the mix to coach the Bulls if LeBron goes to Chicago. Calipari has said that he will be coaching Kentucky next season but the word of head coaches simply doesn’t mean much these days. Calipari was in the NBA with the Nets from 1996-99. He coached two seasons and was fired 20 games into the 1998-99 season. Money may be the biggest issue that keeps Calipari away from the NBA as sources have said it would take at least $5 million a year to convince Calipari to move to the NBA.

LeBron could still end up staying with the Cavaliers but speculation has him considering four other teams. The Bulls are in the mix along with the New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets and Los Angeles Clippers.  The Bulls seem to be one of the favorites but some people have said that LeBron may still stay with the Cavaliers simply because he has been in that area all of his life.

The Cavaliers were a failure in the playoffs but they had the top record in the NBA in the regular season.  LeBron may decide that the Cavaliers don’t have the pieces necessary to win a championship and a team like Chicago with Derrick Rose does.  The teams in the mix for top free agents are ones that are under the salary cap by a large margin. That is why teams like New York, New Jersey and the Clippers are in the running along with the Bulls. The free agent signing period will begin in July so it won’t be long before everyone finds out where LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and others wind up.  There is no question though that the NBA landscape is likely to change next season.
