Los Angeles Clippers at Washington NBA Betting

December 13th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting on Sunday includes a game in Washington as the Wizards host the Los Angeles Clippers. It is the second game of an eight-game road trip for Los Angeles.  The Clippers have held their own against Washington in basketball betting, winning six of the last ten.

NBA betting had the Clippers winning 97-95 last month against the Wizards.  That game was in Los Angeles and that has been the NBA betting trend in this series with the home team doing pretty well.  The last time the teams met in Washington was just about a year ago as the Wizards won 106-94. Four of the last five games between the Clippers and Wizards went over the total.  Since neither team plays a lot of defense that could be the result in this game as well.

The Clippers are not an automatic team to bet against as they have been in recent years.  In fact, the Clippers are within range of the .500 mark. They have even been competitive in NBA betting on the road.  The Clippers have some talented players but they are not always inconsistent.  Baron Davis can take over a game and really impact NBA betting at times and then in some games he continually turns the ball over.  Eric Gordon is an explosive young player but he is wildly inconsistent.  Chris Kaman has been the one constant this season as he leads the team in scoring. The Clippers won’t have #1 Draft pick Blake Griffin and while that hurts them, Los Angeles still has talent to compete and cover the basketball betting odds.

Washington has not done much this season in basketball betting but they do have some talented players.  Even though they are without Gilbert Arenas they have actually played better without him and they have been better in basketball betting.. Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison and Randy Foye are capable of having big nights.  Washington is still far too inconsistent to trust on a nightly basis in NBA betting but they can win some games.  Getting Mike Miller back into the lineup has also helped Washington on the offensive end.  The Wizards are still below .500 in NBA betting at home but they have shown signs of life in recent games. The Wizards are 17th in the league on offense while they are 23rd in the league on defense.
