NBA action has the Miami Heat and Charlotte Bobcats meeting on Tuesday for the third of four match-ups this season. The Bobcats have won both of the basketball betting games against Miami this season. Here is a look at this matchup on Tuesday between the Heat and Bobcats. NBA betting has this game on Tuesday as one of the most important of the season for the Bobcats. They are just behind Miami for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference so this game is huge. Miami is 5-6 all-time in games played in Charlotte. The Heat were humiliated the last time they visited Charlotte in January, losing 104-65. Charlotte also won in Miami 107-97. The Bobcats have won four of the last five at home against Miami. Even though the last meeting went under the total, the previous four had gone over the NBA betting total.
Miami has played better of late, winning their last three games including wins over the Lakers and Hawks. The Heat have been pretty good against the NBA betting odds on the road this season at 17-15. Miami has played well defensively this season as they are 5th in the league. Their offense is still suspect though as they have Dwyane Wade and some inconsistent scorers behind him. Quentin Richardson and Michael Beasley have shown up recently though and Miami has been winning.
Charlotte has been solid at home vs. the basketball betting odds at 17-13. They have won their last two games. The Bobcats are very good defensively as they rank 2nd in the league. Their problem is on offense where they are right near the bottom of the league. Stephen Jackson leads the team in scoring and similar to Miami, he doesn’t get a lot of scoring help. Gerald Wallace can score but Charlotte needs more players to contribute. Even rookie D.J. Augustin has been in the mix lately for the Bobcats as he had 19 points in their last win.
Charlotte has a chance to make the playoffs this season and this game on Tuesday could be critical to their chances. Both Miami and Charlotte play good defense but the trends point to a higher scoring game. Each team has a big scorer as the Heat have Wade while the Bobcats have Jackson. It could be which player has the bigger game that decides the winner of this Tuesday contest.
