Basketball betting favors Phoenix on Friday night as they host the Miami Heat. It is the first game of a six-game road trip for Miami. The Heat have not been a great road team in recent seasons in NBA betting but they have won at Phoenix in their last two trips to the desert. Basketball betting has seen Phoenix win six of the last ten against Miami but the Heat are 6-4 against the NBA betting line. Recently, the Heat have had more success against Phoenix, winning three of the last four. Miami did lose at home earlier this season though, as Phoenix won 104-96 in basketball betting. That broke a three-game winning streak for Miami in this NBA betting series and broke a four-game streak of high scoring games. History shows that Miami is just 5-16 in games played in Phoenix even though they have won the last two.
Miami has been just above .500 this season but to continue with a winning record they are going to have to survive this road trip. Miami is 7-5 against the basketball betting odds on the road this season so they do have a chance to hold their own. The Heat are led by Dwyane Wade who is averaging more than 26 points per game. He is supported by Michael Beasley who can come up with his big basketball betting games on occasion. Miami still struggles to score overall though and that is a concern when taking them in NBA betting.
Phoenix has no trouble scoring points. The Suns lead the league in scoring, putting up almost 110 points per basketball betting contest. The Suns have been better at home this season in basketball betting than on the road. Since they play virtually no defense, the Suns can run and gun more at home and get away with it in basketball betting. On the road their lack of defense usually causes them trouble versus the basketball betting line. Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire are having All-Star seasons. Sometimes the Suns struggle to get a third player involved but at home that is normally not as much of an issue in basketball betting. Phoenix has been going over the basketball betting total at home while going under on the road.
With Wade, Nash and Stoudemire on the floor, this game should be exciting to watch and wager on.
