Minnesota Timberwolves at Detroit in NBA betting

November 27th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting has the Detroit Pistons hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday. The Timberwolves are 13-39 overall and 4-22 on the road but they have won four of their last five games.  Detroit played a little better before the break as they won three of their last five in basketball betting.

NBA betting had Minnesota and Detroit splitting the season series a year ago with both teams winning on the road.  The Timberwolves actually look like the better team to follow right now in NBA betting. Al Jefferson leads the T-Wolves with 17.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game while rookie Jonny Flynn is fourth amongst rookies in scoring at 14 points per game.

Minnesota is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The trouble for Minnesota has been on the road as they are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games. They have also struggled a lot against the Central Division as they are 1-8 ATS in their last 9.

Minnesota has fewer wins than Detroit but there is actually some optimism surrounding the Timberwolves. They have a lot of young talent and it is starting to come together.  Minnesota still struggles on the road though as they are 12-14 against the spread.  Minnesota also struggles on defense as they are 28th in the league.

Detroit has not been a very good team this season at home or on the road. The Pistons are 11-15-1 at home this season versus the NBA betting odds.  Detroit is next to last in the league on offense so they are not really an entertaining team to watch.

The Pistons are 7-20-1 vs. the NBA betting odds in their last 28 games overall. The Pistons are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 vs. Western Conference. The Pistons are 0-6-1 in basketball betting in their last 7 home games. The favorite in this series is 7-3 vs. the basketball betting odds in the last 10 meetings.

The last five Minnesota games against the Central Division have gone over the total.  14 of the last 16 Minnesota road games have gone over the NBA betting total.  Seven of their last nine overall have gone over.  Detroit has some mixed NBA betting totals trends. They have gone over the total in their last four against the Northwest Division but nine of their last thirteen overall have gone under.  In this series, four of the last six at Detroit have gone under the basketball betting total.
