Mavericks Win Big
Jason Terry tied an NBA playoffs record with nine 3-pointers as the Mavericks routed the Lakers 122-86.  Game 4 was never really in doubt in NBA betting as the Lakers didn’t show up at all.  The Lakers didn’t play any defense and the Mavericks tied an NBA playoff record with 20 3-pointers. The Mavericks led by 24 at the half and never let up. Terry finished with 32 points while J.J. Barea added 22 points.  Peja Stojakovic added 21 while Dirk Nowitzki had 17. The Mavericks were up so big that they didn’t even need Nowitzki in the Game 4 win. The Lakers were looking to make NBA playoff history but they just became another team to lose a series after trailing 0-3. They are the 60th team to get swept.

Lakers Lose Control
The Lakers were so bad that they even embarrassed themselves late in the game as Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum were ejected for throwing cheap shots.

Bye-Bye Phil
It was obvious to many that Phil Jackson had checked out before this season was even over. He did not have his team ready to play at the end of the season and it carried over into the playoffs. There is no denying that Jackson is a Hall of Fame coach and perhaps the best coach in NBA history but he did not do a good job this season with the Lakers. This was the first time in his 21 years career as a head coach that the Lakers were swept in a playoff series.  Jackson will retire with a record 11 NBA titles. His career postseason record ends at 229-104, the best of all-time.

Dallas Moving On
The Mavericks will now have an excellent chance to play for an NBA title as they will have home court against either Oklahoma City or Memphis. The first game of the Western Conference finals probably won’t start until next Sunday in Dallas so you have some time before you can make your next NBA bet on the Mavericks.
