James Scores 29
It was all LeBron James in the final few minutes in Game 2 as the Heat won 85-75. Dwyane Wade added 24 points but it was James who took over the game down the stretch. He scored nine points in the final four and a half minutes and the Bulls went totally cold. Chicago had a chance to put a stranglehold on the series but they were tentative and passive in the final few minutes and just sat and watched LeBron take over. It was a big turnaround for James who had just 15 points in Game 1.
Miami Outworked the Bulls
It was easy to see which team wanted in more on Wednesday night. The Heat dominated the Bulls in the final few minutes when the game was on the line. They actually out rebounded the Bulls 45-41 for the game. Udonis Haslem came off the bench and played very well scoring 13 points. The Bulls held Chris Bosh to just 10 points but as we said after Bosch scored 30 points in Game 1, the Heat don’t win because of Bosh, they win because of Wade and James.
Rose Disappears in the Fourth
Derrick Rose had 21 points in Game 2 but he had just two points in the fourth quarter. When James was taking over for the Heat you couldn’t find Rose doing anything. There is no denying that Rose is a great player but there have been a few times when he becomes invisible. He didn’t get any help either as not many Chicago players provided any offense. The Bulls were outshot 47.1 percent to 34.1 percent. Head coach Tom Thibodeau said that the Bulls had poor energy on offense and defense and the results were predictable.
Heat -5.5, 178.5
The Heat is favored by 5.5 points in NBA betting on Sunday in Game 3. The NBA schedule continues to be idiotic as the Bulls and Heat will have three days off between Games 2 and 3. You can make an NBA bet right now on the NBA playoffs.
