Before you go and hand the Southeast Division to the Miami Heat in NBA betting you should remember that the Orlando Magic are very talented. Almost everyone who makes an NBA bet this season is going to want to take the Heat at times in 2010-2011 but Miami has done nothing yet, while the Magic are the defending division champs.
Miami Heat
Nearly everyone is going to predict the Heat to win the Southeast Division. They have the power trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The Heat also still has Udonis Haslem and they added Mike Miller and Zydrunas Ilgauskas. The Heat is going to win a lot of games this season and they should win this division if they stay healthy. Miami is definitely overvalued but they are still the likely winner of this division in 2010-2011.
Orlando Magic
The Magic are not going away and they are going to fight the Heat for this division. They lost nothing in the off-season and added Quentin Richardson. They still have the best center in the league in Dwight Howard and a lot of other talented players including Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter.
Atlanta Hawks – The Hawks could be due for a fall this season. Yes, they still have Joe Johnson but they have a new head coach and they did nothing to improve in the off-season. Making an NBA bet on the Hawks may not be as profitable as in the past.
Washington Wizards – There may not be a more improved team this season than the Wizards. They have the probable Rookie of the Year in John Wall and they do have Gilbert Arenas back. They may not want Arenas back but he can score. The Wizards also added Kirk Hinrich and Yi Jianlian. Washington also still has Andray Blatche.
Charlotte Bobcats – The Bobcats lost both Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton and really did nothing to replace them. I mean really, is Kwame Brown the answer? The Bobcats still have Jackson and Wallace but they are simply not a contender in NBA betting.
Overall, the Southeast Division is going to be one of the best divisions in the NBA to watch this year. The division has Miami, Orlando and Atlanta and an improved Washington team.
