Philadelphia 76ers at Phoenix Basketball Betting

October 10th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

Basketball betting favors Phoenix on Wednesday as they host the Philadelphia 76ers. It is the third game of a four-game road trip for Philadelphia.  The Suns have won and covered the NBA betting odds in 7 of the last 10 against Philadelphia. Basketball betting has both teams in a back-to-back situation.  The 76ers were at Golden State last night while Phoenix was in Oklahoma City.  The teams met earlier this season in Philadelphia and the Suns pulled out a 119-115 victory.  The last time the teams played in Phoenix was about a year ago when the Suns won 126-116 in NBA betting.  The last two games between the teams have gone over the basketball betting total.  Since neither team plays much defense that would seem possible again in this basketball betting matchup.

Philadelphia has been a better team vs. the basketball betting line on the road than they are at home.  The 76ers actually have a winning record on the road vs. the NBA betting point spread.  Philadelphia is below average on offense and on defense but Andre Iguodala is a capable scorer and the 76ers can stay within the number at times on the road.  Philadelphia can even get Allen Iverson into the mix at times and he can make an impact.

Phoenix is 15-12 at home this season vs. the basketball betting line. The Suns are capable of beating anyone on a given night but they rarely play defense and that is a problem.  The Suns are first in the league in scoring but they are 28th on defense.  With a big scoring offense and a terrible defense you would think that Phoenix games would go over the NBA betting number.  That has not been the case though.  Even at home they have gone under the NBA betting total more often than they have gone over.

Steve Nash has been dealing with an injury and he may not be at full strength in this game so that is something to keep in mind as you look at the basketball betting line for this matchup between the Sixers and Suns.  Phoenix has been playing pretty well of late though but they have shown they can overlook teams like Philadelphia.  Laying points with Phoenix is always risky but the Suns have shown in this series against the Sixers they are capable of covering the point spread.
