Basketball betting has Miami favored at home on Saturday as they host the Sacramento Kings. It is the last game of a six-game road trip for the Kings. Both teams are in back-to-back NBA betting situations as the Kings were in Orlando last night while the Heat were at Washington.
Basketball betting has seen Miami completely dominate the Kings in recent games. The Heat have won nine of the last ten overall against the Kings and they are 9-1 against the NBA betting line in those games. In the NBA you will sometimes see one team win a lot against another team but they don’t always cover the spread. In this series though, Miami has won and covered versus the basketball betting line. The teams played in Sacramento last month and the Heat came out with a 115-102 win. Last year at Miami the Heat rolled over the Kings 103-77. The only win since 2005 for the Kings came two years ago at home as they won 120-109. Most of the games between the two teams have not been close. Four of the last five meetings in Miami have seen the Heat beat the Kings by 20 points or more in basketball betting.
Sacramento has not been terrible this season. They have a losing record straight up but they are above .500 vs. the NBA betting odds. They also have a winning record vs. the basketball betting point spread on the road. The Kings can score, as they are in the top 10 in the league on offense. Their defense is poor though and that is why they don’t win a lot of games. Tyreke Evans is an exciting rookie though and the Kings have enough talent to compete on most night in basketball betting.
Miami has been up and down this year but in the Eastern Conference a .500 record will get you into the playoffs and Miami should be able to do better than that. The Heat are okay on defense as they are 10th in the league but on offense they don’t have enough weapons. Dwyane Wade is leading the team in scoring but far too often he doesn’t get a lot of scoring support. Miami has a losing record at home this season versus the basketball betting number so even though they own the Kings, they are not a guarantee to cover this NBA betting point spread.
