NBA betting favors Phoenix on Sunday as the host the Sacramento Kings. It is the last of a three-game road trip for the Kings and a tough basketball betting spot as they were at the Clippers last night. NBA betting has this as the final meeting between the two teams this season. The Suns have won three of the four previous games. Overall, the Suns have won 15 of the last 17 meetings against the Kings. The teams played earlier this month in Sacramento Kings and the Suns won 114-102 as Amar’e Stoudemire tallied 30 points and Steve Nash narrowly missed his fourth career triple-double with 23 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists. Donte Greene led all players with a career-high 31 points for the Kings while Omri Casspi added 17 points and Tyreke Evans scored 13.
The Kings have lost nine of the last ten against Phoenix and they are 3-7 against the NBA betting odds. At home, the Suns have won the last nine in a row against Sacramento. The Kings have not won at Phoenix since November of 2005. The Kings are not much better against the NBA betting odds. They are 3-7 at Phoenix in the last ten meetings.
Even though Sacramento and Phoenix are high scoring teams, the last three meetings have gone under the NBA betting total. When you have totals that are over 223 it takes a lot of points to go over and the last two times they have not cleared 222 points. The games are still high scoring though, just not enough to go over the very high basketball betting odds. Sacramento is 9th in the NBA on offense and 27th on defense so you would think they go over the NBA betting total but that is not always the case. They are just barely a team that goes over more often than under in basketball betting. Phoenix is similar to Sacramento in that respect. They are 1st on offense and even worse on defense at 29th in the league. Overall though, they go under the NBA betting total more often than they go over. The oddsmakers have made their totals so high that more often than not they go under in basketball betting.
You would think that Phoenix would be a secure playoff team but that is not the case. They are not safe and can’t afford to lose games like this one to the Kings.
