NBA games should be interesting on Monday night as the Cleveland Cavaliers host the San Antonio Spurs. The biggest question in this game that can be seen on NBA-TV will be whether or not LeBron James plays for Cleveland. James did not play on Saturday night and the Cavaliers lost in basketball betting at Milwaukee by a score of 92-85.
NBA betting will have San Antonio without one of their best players as Tony Parker is out with an injury. The star guard for the Spurs is probably going to miss the rest of the regular season with a broken right hand. He got hurt on Saturday in a win over Memphis. It has been an injury-filled season for Parker who has missed time this season with sprained ankles, plantar fasciitis and a strained hip flexor. The Spurs are really going to miss Parker and San Antonio is not a lock to make the playoffs without him. The Spurs will need big games out of Tim Duncan but he might have to sit at times since the Spurs play four back-to-backs this month. “It’s a tough month,” head coach Gregg Popovich said. “As the month progresses, I’m sure his time will be limited here and there.”
While the Spurs have their issues with Parker, the Cavaliers have an issue of their own with LeBron James. Head coach Mike Brown said that LeBron was out of the lineup on Saturday for rest but James did hurt his ankle in Friday’s win over Detroit. Antawn Jamison had 30 points on Saturday but it was not enough as Cleveland lost at Milwaukee. Delonte West had a season-high 27 points in the NBA betting loss. “Antawn had a huge game for us offensively, and I thought Delonte had a huge game for us,” Brown said. “Those two guys gave us an opportunity on the offensive end. The combination of those two guys, going 22-for-36, that’s a big night. That’s giving yourselves a chance as long as you defend, and our guys defended. They just had a little too much for us.”
The Spurs and Cavaliers have split their last ten meetings and Cleveland is 6-4 against the NBA betting line in those games. The teams have not met since last season when Cleveland won 101-81 at home in NBA betting. Four of the last six in this series have gone under the basketball betting total.
