Toronto Raptors at Cleveland NBA Betting

NBA betting heavily favors Cleveland on Tuesday as they host the Toronto Raptors. The Cavaliers have won eight of the last ten against Toronto and they are 7-3 against the basketball betting odds in those games. Here is a look at this Tuesday matchup between the Raptors and Cavaliers.

NBA betting had the teams meeting back in late October in Toronto and the Raptors got a rare win in the series. Toronto was victorious 101-91 even though LeBron James had a triple-double for the Cavaliers. Andrea Bargnani scored 28 points while Chris Bosh notched a double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds. In that game the Raptors led 57-39 at the half and were never really threatened.

Cleveland won both of the games last year at home against the Raptors and neither game was close as the Cavaliers won 101-83 and 114-94.  Six of the last seven games in this NBA betting series have gone under the total.

Toronto is very much in the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference. They are right around the .500 mark and in the East that is going to be good enough. The Raptors do have some positives in NBA betting. They are 6th in the league in scoring and they have an impact player in Chris Bosh.  The Raptors also can get some scoring from Bargnani and Hedo Turkoglu. The Raptors have been better at home than on the road.  Toronto is just 9-13 against the NBA betting line on the road this season.

Cleveland is 31-11 straight up but they have a losing record against the NBA betting line at 20-21-1.  They have not been good this season at home in basketball betting which is a surprise considering they were very good a year ago. This season Cleveland is just 6-11 against the NBA betting odds at home.  Cleveland is 4th in the league on defense and their offense has moved up to 11th best in the league. LeBron James is competing for the scoring lead, averaging over 29 points per game.  He still doesn’t get enough consistent help though and that is one reason why the Cavaliers have struggled covering the basketball betting line at home this season.  Cleveland has been going under the total a little bit on their home court, as 10 of their 17 home games have gone under the basketball betting total.
