Utah Jazz at Denver Basketball Betting

September 25th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

Basketball betting favors Denver on Sunday as they host the Utah Jazz in an ESPN televised contest. The Jazz and Nuggets have split their last ten meetings although Denver is 7-3 against the NBA betting odds in those games. Basketball betting favors Denver because they are at home but this scheduling spot is really a bad one for Utah and a great one for Denver. In fact, it is tough to find a more advantageous NBA betting situation.  The Jazz are in a back-to-back as they had to play last night at home vs. Milwaukee.

It is never easy to play on back-to-back nights but having to play the second game at Denver is simply brutal.  And what makes it even worse for Utah in basketball betting is that the Nuggets are completely focused and rested. They haven’t played since routing Orlando last Wednesday by a score of 115-97.  And Denver doesn’t play again in basketball betting until Wednesday at Golden State.  On top of all that, the Nuggets have won four of the last five at home against Utah.

Six of the last seven games between Utah and Denver have gone under the basketball betting total.  The teams have already played twice this season and Denver has won both games. The Nuggets won 105-95 at Utah earlier this month in basketball betting and won 114-105 at home back in late October.  Denver covered both of those games against the Jazz.

The Jazz are normally not that good on the road in basketball betting but they have gotten their road record versus the NBA betting odds up to 9-9 this season.  Utah has a team that can do some damage in basketball betting. They have Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams and some other nice pieces like Paul Millsap, Mehmet Okur and Wesley Matthews.

Denver is 11-9 at home this season versus the basketball betting odds. They have been led by Carmelo Anthony who is scoring just under 30 points per game.  Denver’s offense is third in the league in points scored as basketball betting stats show, but their defense is still weak, ranking 21st in the league.  Even with that offense, the Nuggets have gone under the basketball betting total in three of their last four games overall and in this series against the Jazz more often than not the games go under in NBA betting.
