Now let’s take a look at college basketball’s top early events in 2021.

Air Force Reserve Hall of Fame Tip-Off – November 20-21

The Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, will host a couple of powerhouse online wagering matchups. #5 Villanova will face #20 Tennessee. And then #15 North Carolina takes on #11 Purdue. Hubert Davis replaces legendary Roy Williams as the North Carolina coach. Meanwhile, coach Jay Wright leads a talented Villanova team favored for a Final Four run.

Good Sam Empire Classic – November 22-23

T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, is the venue for some name-brand powers. #1 Gonzaga will face Central Michigan. While #2 UCLA will face Bellarmine. And then the script is flipped with Gonzaga vs. UCLA and Central Michigan vs. Bellarmine.

Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis – November 24-26

Specifically, Paradise Island, Bahamas, will play host to an outstanding lineup of eight teams. #24 Michigan State faces Loyola of Chicago. While #22 Auburn takes on #23 UConn. Also, Syracuse matches up against VCU. And then Baylor takes on Arizona State. This will be a bracket format tournament. Baylor is the defending national champion. Of great concern is that the Bears’ top three guards are gone.

ESPN Events Invitational – Nov 25-26, 28

ESPN Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, will host this eight-team event. Specifically, it is a bracket play tournament format. The openers are Dayton vs. Miami, North Texas vs. #4 Kansas, #12 Alabama vs. Iona, and Belmont vs. Drake. Although they’re not name-brands, Drake, Iona, and North Texas made the Big Dance last year. Dayton and Belmont are annual threats for the Big Dance. And Miami is due for a bounceback season after an injury-ravaged 2020-21 campaign. Still, Kansas and Alabama look to be on a collision course.

Maui Jim Maui Invitational – Nov 25-28

On the whole, the Maui Invitational is one of the most popular early-season tournaments. Opening matchups are going to draw serious handle. Staring with Texas A&M vs. Wisconsin and Butler vs. #13 Houston. Also, #16 Oregon will face Chaminade. And then St. Mary’s will face Notre Dame. In like manner to other such events, this is a bracket tournament format.

Hall of Fame Classic Powered By ShotTracker – Nov 22-23

In Kansas City, Missouri, T-Mobile Center is the venue for a strong College basketball lines lineup. Consider that Cincinnati will face #17 Illinois. And then #10 Arkansas faces Kansas State. Arkansas and Illinois had strong regular seasons in 2020-21. However, they are looking to atone for disappointing flops in the Big Dance,

Jimmy V Classic – December 7

Above all, the Jimmy V Classic rates as a brand as big as any in the early season. Madison Square Garden, New York, is the venue. Texas Tech will face #20 Tennessee. Also on the card is #5 Villanova going up against Syracuse.

Of course, the Villanova vs. Syracuse matchup will rekindle memories of their old Big East battles in the 1980s. Jay Wright and Jim Boeheim bring a huge coaching matchup.
