Tulsa Golden Hurricane (21-9 SU, 18-12 ATS, 8-22 OU)
To begin with, the Golden Hurricane has been one of the top online betting values in all of the college hoops this season. Coach Frank Haith orchestrates one of the elite defensive teams in the country. And with the nation’s 266th ranked offense the strong under trend on the board is understandable.
Houston Cougars (22-8 SU, 16-14 ATS, 12-18 OU)
Coach Kelvin Sampson has proven to be a perfect fit in Houston. To illuminate the Cougars are the one AAC team assured of a tournament bid. Which would be their third straight under Sampson. Houston boasts the nation’s 15th ranked defense. Namely G: Nate Hinton leads with 10.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
Cincinnati Bearcats (19-10 SU, 11-18 ATS, 14-14 OU)
UC is considered more in than out, but can’t stumble in this week’s tournament. First-year coach John Brannen is charged with getting the Bearcats into the Big Dance for the 10th consecutive season.
Wichita State Shockers (22-8 SU, 14-13-3 ATS, 14-16 OU)
Last year head coach Gregg Marshall’s Shockers had their seven-year Big Dance streak ended. WSU is on the brink and likely needs a spot in the AAC championship game this week at the very least. The Defense remains the College Basketball betting strength of the Shockers. Late on Wichita State has lost only two of their last seven to the spread.
Memphis Tigers (21-9 SU, 18-12 ATS, 13-17 OU)
Earlier this season, coach Anfernee Hardaway’s Tigers ranked as high as ninth in the country. Most important of all Memphis is consistently getting the cash on the current campaign. Hardaway has one of the best players in the AAC with F Precious Achiuwa. The freshman standout leads the Tigers with 15.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. Concurrently, most recent brackets have Memphis out. This means a tournament win is needed to get their ticket punched!
UConn Huskies (19-10 SU, 17-11-2 ATS, 16-14 OU)
By contrast to most any other team in the country, UConn has been among the most profitable. Recently the Huskies have maintained that with six covers in their last nine games. And they upset Houston 77-71 last Thursday. Also, eight of their last nine have gone over the total. G Christian Vital leads with 16.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
SMU Mustangs (19-10 SU, 14-14-1 ATS, 18-11 OU)
Counter to the hot Huskies is a Pony team that has paid in only two of their last eight matchups. But a 73-72 overtime win over Houston last month is indicative of SMU’s potential on a given day.
