2020 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament Betting odds

To begin with, there are only four projected certain teams in the Big Dance from the ACC. Florida State, Virginia, Duke, and Louisville are in. From there, it’s going to be a fight to the death. Certainly, there are potential candidates from the rest of the field. But the only sure path for the rest of the ACC is to win the tournament. In this top-heavy conference, the betting on CBB faces long but not impossible odds.

#7 Florida State Seminoles (25-5 SU, 16-14 ATS, 18-12 OU)

At the onset of any conversation about the ACC, the Seminoles are most often ignored. Yet coach Leonard Hamilton has led Florida State to the Big Dance seven times since 2009. FSU is in good form with six payouts in their last eight games. Hamilton has a balanced team in the upper quarter of the country at 74th in offense and 76th for defense. G Devin Vassell leads with 12.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

#10 Louisville Cardinals (24-6 SU, 16-13-1 ATS, 16-13-1 OU)

Last season Chris Mack inherited a demoralized and scandal-ridden Cardinals program. In just his second season he has transformed Louisville into a sportsbook power. To illustrate The ‘Ville was ranked as high as number one in the country earlier this season. National metrics have the Cardinals ranked 83rd for offense and 37th for defense. F Jordan Nwora powers The Ville with 18.0 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

#12 Duke Blue Devils (24-6 SU, 15-15 ATS, 21-9 OU)

Mike Krzyzewski is renowned for March Madness excellence that includes 15 ACC Tournament championships. Extending those expectations is a current team ranked third for scoring offense. Duke has dropped six of their last nine against the spread and has often struggled to hold board value. Of great concern are such stink bombs as an 88-68 loss to NC State last month. C Vernon Carey Jr leads Duke with 17.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

#22 Virginia Cavaliers (22-7 SU, 11-17-1 ATS. 13-16 OU)

Late on the defending national champions are peaking at the perfect time. Coach Tony Bennett’s Cavaliers have lost only one of their last six on the Betting on CBB board. Of course, Bennett’s UVA team boasts the best defense in the country. Offensively they are an eyesore 351st. But a recent 52-50 win over Duke is evidence of a team for real. F Mamadi Diakite supplies much of the offense with 13.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per outing.

Sleeper Candidates

In view of coach Jim Boeheim’s record of excellence is Syracuse always a tournament threat. Despite being in red ink on the season the Orange has been in good recent form with four payouts in their last six games. F Elijah Hughes is another reason that The Cuse can do damage with 19.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

In the same way, NC State is a team to consider because of that aforementioned win over Duke. The Wolfpack ranks in the upper quarter of the nation in scoring offense at 95th. G CJ Bryce leads NC State with 13.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per outing.
