Arkansas at Kentucky NCAA Basketball Betting

NCAA basketball betting has second-ranked Kentucky favored as they host Arkansas on Saturday. Kentucky is 18-0 and the only unbeaten team in college basketball. If they can win this game they will take over the top spot in the rankings.  Those making a college basketball bet will probably lean with the Wildcats in this game.

NCAA basketball betting has seen Kentucky do well straight up but the Wildcats don’t always cover the spread.  They are 8-8 against the NCAA basketball betting line this season including 4-6 at home.  Kentucky has done well in this series against Arkansas though for those making a college basketball bet. The Wildcats have won 9 of the last 10 in this series against Arkansas and they are 7-3 against the NCAA basketball betting odds in those games. Kentucky routed Arkansas last year on the road, winning 79-63 for those making a college basketball bet.  They won at home two years ago 63-58.

Kentucky freshman John Wall is getting much of the attention this season as he leads the Wildcats in scoring at over 17 points per game.  It was another freshman for Kentucky though that was named SEC Freshman of the Week. Eric Bledsoe averaged 19 points to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in helping lead Kentucky to wins at Florida and at Auburn. He scored a career-high and game-high 25 points at Florida. He scored 13 points in the win over Auburn. The Wildcats have now won SEC awards nine times this NCAA basketball betting season.

Kentucky has been getting a lot from John Wall and now other players like Bledsoe and DeMarcus Cousins are getting into the act.  NCAA basketball betting stats have Cousins at third on the team in scoring, averaging 15.3 points per game.  Head coach John Calipari has said that Cousins can be even better.  “He still has a long way to go,” Calipari said, “He is in the best shape of his life, but has to get better. That is why he is not playing the minutes he wants to play or I want him to play. That is why he gets in foul trouble.”

Arkansas is 1-1 this season against the NCAA basketball betting number in their two true road games. College basketball bet numbers indicate that Rotnei Clarke is their leading scorer at just over 18 points per game.
