John Beilein. The Michigan Wolverines head coach is 14-5 against the spread and 9-1 ATS as an NCAA tournament favourite of fans betting on March madness since 2005. Beilein is in his 10th year as University of Michigan men’s basketball head coach, and is the only active coach to have 20-win seasons at the junior college and NCAA Division III, II and I levels.

Sean Miller. Miller is 16-9 against the spread but only 8-8 ATS as head coach of the Arizona Wildcats. Miller has the 4th best conference winning percentage of any coach with at least 100 conference wins percentage behind John Wooden, Lute Olson, and Jim Harrick, and is tied for 20th in career conference victories at 107.

Chris Mack. The Mack Daddy is 9-3 against the spread. In Mack’s two separate stints as Xavier head coach, the Musketeers 183-89 (.673) and 90-46 in conference play, and have reached three Sweet 16s.

John Calipari. A long-time favourite of people betting on March madness. The three-time Naismith College Coach of the Year is 25-19 against the spread. Calipari has 21 20-win seasons, eight 30-win seasons, and three 35-win seasons, and has taken his current team, the Kentucky Wildcats, to the Final 4 on four occasions – including the program’s eighth NCAA Championship in 2012.

Gregg Marshall. The Wichita State University head coach is 11-6 against the spread. Marshall is the most winning head coach in the history if the WSU Shockers. He has led Wichita State to the Final 4 in 2013 and to the Sweet 16 in 2015.

Worst ATS March madness betting coaches Mike Brey. The Notre Dame head coach is 5-11 against the spread, though he did score a win and a cover against Beilein in last year’s opening round. Brey led the Fighting Irish to the NCAA tournament in his first three years, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2003. He has since led the team to appear in the tournament in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Mark Few. The Zags head coach is 11-14 against the spread. Few has led the Bulldogs to the NCAA Tourney in each of his seasons as head coach, totaling 18th consecutive years and including five Sweet 16s and one Elite 8. During the 2016-17 season, Few led Gonzaga back to the No. 1 spot in the AP and Coaches polls, as well as a new school record 29-game winning streak, breaking the record for consecutive wins to start a season.

Greg McDermott. The Creighton University Bluejays head coach is 2-5 against the spread. McDermott led Universitas Creightoniana to an 18-1 start and a ranking as high as No. 7 in the nation in both polls.

Leonard Hamilton. The Florida State University coach is 2-5 against the march madness betting spread. Hamilton took the Seminoles to four straight NCAA tourneys between 2008-09 and 2011-12, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2010-11. After a four-season absences Hamilton and FSU will return to the Big Dance this year.
